RE: South Florida RV park suggestions
Whispering Palms and Vero Beach Kamp, both just north of Vero. Good fishing in the surf or the Lagoon or from the pier in Sebastian Inlet State Park.
Treasure Coast RV Park just west of Fort Pierce is very nice. We've also stayed at Southern Comfort RV Park near Homestead a couple times all very nice but different from each other.

RE: RV park in Las Vegas
We always stay at Circus Circus RV Park simply because it is on the Strip and we ride the Deuce bus up and down the Strip. Don's description is apt (if he is referring to Circus Circus} but we've never had any trouble with the sewer.

RE: Trip 9/17 to 10/7 to Lake Louis/Icefield/Jasper.
Moraine Lake and Valley of the 10 Peaks rivals Lake Louise. Peyto Lake and Bow Lake overlooks among many others. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. The waterfall. Spent a quiet night at Waterfowl Lakes CG.

RE: Monarch Pass WorkaroundHeading west from Poncha Springs
OP here. Thanks for the helpful comments. This is the 4th cross country trip towing a camper. I've crossed the Rockies on I10, 40 and 80. Was always apprehensive about I70 and Colo in general. The only hill I really remember was Cabbage Hill on I84. Time to see what we've been missing. Thanks again.

Monarch Pass WorkaroundHeading west from Poncha Springs
Heading west from Poncha Springs, US 50 looks like the best route to Montrose. Wondering if US 285 south to CO 114 is a suitable alternative. 2016 F-250 gasser pulling a 7000lb travel trailer. Looks like either way we'd have to deal with the construction on US 50. I thought I saw a post on this subject but reading back a year on Roads and Routes I cannot find it.
Thanks for your comments. Trip is planned for early August.

RE: Rt. 95 north
I do not think ford truck guy saw your correction. I'd just stay on 95 to the Baltimore beltway (I695). Take the beltway east to the Key Bridge and return to 95 on the north side of Baltimore. Propane is prohibited in the harbor tunnels thus the need to hop off 95. If you do not like bridges you could take 695 around the west side of Baltimore and avoid the bridge toll.

RE: 30 amp camper/50 amp plug and cord
time2roll: Your picture is my plug. I didn't realize the metal insert was the ground. Thank you. So the cord has a 50 amp plug on each end. Sorry, but posting pictures is above my posting skills.
Bobbo: Is your answer still "Yes"? Thanks again to all who replied.

RE: 30 amp camper/50 amp plug and cord
OP here. Power cord is 50mp at the pedestal end and a 3 prong twist lock at the trailer end. Main breaker in camper is 30 amp. Since the trailer is on a permanent site I'll just continue to use the 50/30 adapter.
The question remains, hypothetically speaking, if I was on the road could I plug into the 50 amp receptacle on the pedestal without damaging my trailer

RE: 30 amp camper/50 amp plug and cord
OP here. Going to camper next week. I'll check camper plug and breaker box and update when I get back. In the meantime, I'll use the adapter. Thanks for the thoughtful replies.

30 amp camper/50 amp plug and cord
Just bought a Puma 25BHFQ. One A/C and a 30 amp camper in every way but the plug and cord are 50 amp. Must I always use an adapter or can I plug into 50 amp if available? Thanks. The camper is on a permanent site with a 30 amp plug. I'd like to eliminate the adapter by installing a 50 amp plug.
